A mission of the Franciscan Fathers (OFM), this parish was carved out of Sonapahar and canonically erected on 2nd February 2014. It is one of the remotest missions in the Diocese, serving a diverse tribal community including the Nongtrai, Maram, Lyngngam, and Garo peoples.
