3rd Annual Meet • 4 July 2026
On Saturday, 4 July 2026, members of the Past Seminarians' Association, Diocese of Nongstoin, gathered for their Third Annual Meet at the Conference Hall of the Bishop's House. The programme commenced with registration followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary.
The President of the Association Mr Kynsai John D Iawphniaw, presented a Welcome Address to all the members and also the Resourse person, Rev. Fr. Sylvester Nongsiej.
At 11:30 AM, Rev. Fr. Sylvester Nongsiej, Executive Secretary of the Laity Commission of the Diocese of Nongstoin, delivered an inspiring talk on the diocesan theme for the year, "Year of the Laity." He encouraged the members to deepen their knowledge of Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Church documents, and the lives of the Saints so as to become committed lay leaders serving the Mother Church. The participants greatly appreciated the enriching session, remarking that it rekindled their zeal for the Church's mission.
The celebration of the Holy Eucharist followed and was presided over by Most Rev. Wilbert Marwein DD, Bishop of the Diocese of Nongstoin.
Following the Holy Mass, Mr. Pascal Nongtnger, Vice President of the Association and Coordinator for Sacred Music of the Diocese, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the gathering.
The members then shared a fellowship lunch, after which the Annual Meeting was conducted to deliberate on important matters concerning the Association. The day concluded with a group photograph in front of the Bishop's House before the members dispersed.
